- The back of the record has this song subtitled as “And the End Shall Be Signaled By the Breaking of a Twig”, so wild speculation but the twig snap at the end might be a possible allusion to T.S Eliot’s 1925 poem “The Hollow Men” where at the end he states:
“This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper.”
