1971

  • Spring 1971: Winter House's projected release date for Mayo Thompson's first book Regular Everything II. The book was never released. Illustrations from the book were included in Thompson's exhibition 8th Floor in 2015.
  • August 1971: Thompson hosts a radio show on Pacifica KPFT-FM 90.1[1]

1972

  • 1972: Thompson forms new group The Rockin' Blue Diamonds
  • May - July 1972: The Rockin' Blue Diamonds perform each week at The Old Quarter
  • 1972: The Rockin' Blue Diamonds record a demo for John Fahey's Takoma Records which he does not accept
  • July 1972: The Rockin' Blue Diamonds' equipment is stolen
  • August 3, 1972: The Rockin' Blue Diamonds perform an acoustic set on the KPFT Free Music Store radio program
  • 1972: Thompson illustrates a William H Gass short story for Fiction
